Little did I know that my blog design career would be linked to high school. I had this computer teacher who I thought was ancient, but cool. Turns out she was 27, you know my age now. Anywho, she made us learn HTML. We had to build websites from scratch and I thought it was a lot of fun (my website was done on the movie the Matrix. haha) But, once that class was over I never thought about any of it again.
I live on a very tight budget since my husband and I made the decision for me to be a stay-at-home mom. I couldn’t afford to spend the $$$ on a blog design like I wanted. Which led me to start doing research on how to do blog design, change elements, add signatures, fiddle with the Blogger HTML/CSS coding, make menu bars & I started remembering all the things my teacher had shown me.
Then, my MIL started a blog and asked me to set things up for her. Along with the initial blog setup I created a design for her as well. Her blog went public & boom! I got my first request for a new blog design and thus my blog business was born. I was so nervous that I almost didn’t do the design and almost referred her to someone else. I’m so glad I didn’t because she ended up loving the design and I ended up LOVING doing it for her (I have since done a 2nd design for her too!)
I want everyone to have a fun blog and a space where they enjoy writing. For me, one slight change on my blog can cause me to have a HUGE surge of inspiration and motivation to keep blogging. Whenever I start to feel sluggish in the “post idea” department, I do some sprucing up on the blog, and boom, I’m back to writing almost daily.
I love, love, love being able to “Beautify the Blogsophere” one blog at a time. I know how valuable a person’s blog is, so I feel very privileged to be trusted with a new design for someone. I hope that I can contribute to your design in some way, shape, or form and that I hear from you very soon!
