Oh the places you will go….very very fast!

12/09/2010 by Kate P. Leave a Comment

I was thinking today about the whirlwind that has been the last 4 years.

On December 19, 2006: Todd proposes.
May 2007: I graduate from undergrad.
May 2007: Todd starts a new position at the bank & continues undergrad.
June 9, 2007: Todd and I have a dream wedding.
June 9-16, 2007: Have awesome honeymoon in Maui!
July 2, 2007: I start a new job.
December 2007: Todd and I celebrate our first Christmas married.
January 2008: I decide to go back to grad school and start applying. We also get Giorgio.
May 2008: I finally turn in my two weeks notice to that awful job I took the previous year. Todd also graduates from undergrad.
June 2008: We celebrate our first anniversary by going out to dinner at our favorite restaurant & eat lots of wedding cake (we ate our topper on our 3 month anniversary, so we ordered a mini replica of our wedding cake to celebrate.)
August 2008: Go on family vacation with my parents & sibs to Alabama. I also start graduate school. Celebrate Todd’s 24th Birthday.
September 2008: Find out we’re pregnant 16 months after getting married (WHEW!)
December 2008: Celebrate my 25th Birthday.
January 2009: Find out we are having a boy! Todd starts graduate school.
March 2009: Fall at 32 weeks pregnant & spend night in ER (everything is fine.) Put offer in on FIRST HOUSE and it’s accepted.
April 2009: Baby sister gets married (I was 35 weeks pregnant.) Close on FIRST HOUSE April 30th.
May 2009: Moved into said house on May 2nd. Finish up my final projects due May 5th (got a 4.0!)
May 22, 2009: Labor starts at 7:00 am
May 24, 2009: 43 1/2 hours after I started labor, Lboy makes his debut.
June 2009: Celebrate 2nd Wedding Anniversary watching “The Gran Torino” with a two week old. Went to bed at 9:00 pm. No cake this year. Too expensive. Todd also takes some time off grad school so we can all adjust to family life with a new, little baby.
August 2009: Make the monumental decision to be a stay-at-home mom & not go back to school for a while. Celebrate Todd’s 25th Birthday!
December 2009: Celebrate first Christmas as parents!
May 2010: Started sleep training (I cried for two weeks straight.) Celebrate Lboy’s First Birthday!
June 2010: Celebrate 3rd Wedding Anniversary! No cake this year, again too expensive-we have baby stuff to buy!
July 2010: Make 2nd monumental decision to not go back to grad school for a while. :/
August 2010: Celebrate Todd’s 26th Birthday!
December 2010: Well, this part of the whirlwind has not happened yet….BUT…. I can tell you some of the stuff we’ve got planned: Todd graduates from graduate school Dec. 18. I celebrate my 27th Birthday Dec. 19. Then we head to my grandparents’ for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day at my parents, then head back to our house to celebrate Christmas as a small little family…..

WHEW! Are you tired yet?! I am!

I know we are not the only people busy, so tell me about your whirlwind!
