Essence of Now: Playtime

10/04/2012 by Kate P. 15 Comments

This week we ran in a 5k with good friends (well, I ran behind the good friends. 🙂 )….

We didn’t worry about messes, instead we built train tracks….

We decided that we needed a tent & it became our “book nook.” We did story time, we went on a “bear hunt”, & we even moved the train track under the tent (and baby sister crawled herself in there too!)….

We went for a walk & gushed over how cute our newest addition to the family is….and we joked about how my new motto is “The bigger the bow, the better the mama!”….

We did tummy time in the backyard & watched big brother play in the sandbox….

We did finger painting too & made another huge mess. But, all the messes were so worth it.

I swore she was NEVER going to wear bows or tutus….yeah….that’s all she’s in! I just can’t help myself!

And the messes are usually the best memories!

You have gorgeous kids!!!!! 🙂 Oh, and I swore I’d never put my daughter in pink fluff, too, before she was born, but as soon as she came out, that’s all she was ever in lol.

Thank you! I’m loving the bows, even though I swore that she wouldn’t wear them! Typical boy mom thing to say I suppose.

      How’s the running going?!

I love the messes! They look like you guys had a great time. And that’s way more important than being clean, right?
