Welcome Ruth-Friday Featurette on a Monday!
Happy Valentine’s Day! Thank you so much to everyone who came to visit on Friday-I’m going to get back to everyone ASAP! If you are new here, every Friday I like to feature a different blogger who follows over here. It’s been a lot of fun! Today’s Featurette is Ruth from My Devotional Thoughts. She was gracious enough to switch to today since Friday was my Theta Mom Feature Day!
I’m also writing at her place today, so if you would like to stop by please please do! 🙂
Without further ado….Meet Ruth!
I am so pleased to be guest posting at Mommy Monologues today. I am relatively new to the world of blogging. I am a computer savvy mom, but I began blogging to improve my spiritual life last year. Since that time, my blog has grown by leaps and bounds. I have done a few giveaways, and I use my blog to celebrate my great loves of music and books as well as my spiritual life.
I am one of those people who probably follows over 800 blogs, and so I have lots of favorite blogs. It’s hard to say what my “must-read” blog is, but I would say that the one that I always seem to read is www.simplystacie.net. I also love www.theredheadedriter.com. Both of these blogs are well-established, and they have lots of good information for bloggers. Simply Stacie has the best giveaways, and the Red Headed Riter has the most unique posts–she is a very gifted writer, and I am impressed that she takes the time to follow and comment on my blog.
I think the best blogging tip is to follow as many blogs as you possibly can. I have read that recommendation several times, and it works. If I take the time to follow and genuinely comment on other people’s blogs, my readership will always increase. Giveaways are good, but when you actually interact with other bloggers, it is probably the best thing I could ever recommend. You will learn what you like and what you don’t like. And with any luck, you will receive some much-needed inspiration.
My favorite post of all time? You know, I really don’t think I have a favorite blog post at this point. I am extremely proud of all my challenges–especially my music challenge, and maybe that is what I will link you to.
I created this challenge after I looked all over for challenges that concerned music. And I found none. While no one else signed up for it, I am pleased with how well it is going for me. I am well ahead of my goals, and at least I am finally listening to my music!
In closing, I want to thank Kate for letting me write this post today. Feel free to visit my blog, and if you leave a comment on a post of mine, I can assure you I will be visiting your blog! And I will probably end up following you. That is one of my favorite things about blogging! The community is excellent.

I think your advice is great, it is best to genuinly interact with bloggers (and this can translate to the outside world too) and a great way to make new friends. Look forward to reading your blog.
