Getting to Know You

07/18/2010 by Kate P. 11 Comments

Getting to know YOU

1. If you had to choose a country to live in besides USA (or the country you live in), which would it be?
Oh what a cool question! This is actually one that definitely pertains to our long term goals as a family. Todd & I hope to be be ex-patriots someday–even if just for a short time. Since both Todd & I speak Spanish we hope that we will end up living in Latin America someday–Mexico, Guatemala, Chile or Argentina.

But as a dreamer I would LOVE to go back to Spain & raise a family there.

2. Which would be worse, wearing flip flops in the snow or wearing gloves in the summer?
Flip-flops in the snow!

3. Fried or Bake and why?
Well, as a true Southern gal I would choose Fried anything with sweet tea (I love me some fried pickles.) But you won’t find me eating anything fried or drinking sweet tea. I always eat baked. It’s the whole calorie thing, wanting to be healthy, & preventing clogged arteries.

4. If you were an entertainment reporter, which celeb would you love to interview and why?
Jennifer Aniston! Sandra Bullock! I’m in love with Friends so I’d ask Jenn all about her fun times with the cast. And I have been in love with Sandra since While You Were Sleeping. But I have no idea what I’d talk to her about–I would probably just beg her to be my friend. lol

5. What was your favorite book as a preteen/teenager?
The Princess Bride. The Godfather. Harry Potter.

6. List your top 3 guilty pleasure television shows.
Right now I have these four:
Real Housewives of NYC
Real Housewives of NJ
Bethenny Getting Married?
Design Star

7. What bumper sticker slogan best describes you/your attitude/your life?
Sh!t Happens. haha Last night was a terrible night for Lboy. We have no idea what was wrong with him. I was awake from 6:00 am yesterday morning until 5 am this morning. That’s 23 hours awake. He FINALLY fell asleep at 5 but woke up at 7:00 am–so we both Todd & I woke up with the same Sh!t Happens Attitude. Last night even the dog was overwhelmed with everything & ditched us while we were in the livingroom trying to get Lboy back to sleep. He went & got in our bed & slept on the pillows all curled up–you have no idea how jealous I was.

8. If you were to join a circus – what performer would you be?
Todd said to tell y’all “The Bearded Lady”–So yeah, he’s sleeping on the couch tonight. (:

I think it would be fun to be a trapeze artist–if you could get me past the whole Being way up high, I could fall & break my neck thing.

I'm tired just READING about your sleepless night/day! Ugh, those days are so hard, trying to figure out why they won't sleep….

Ha, Bearded Lady?!! That would earn hubby a serious scowl in my house….trapeze artist would be fun!

Those are some tough questions. Sounds like you had a crappy night and sometimes you just have to have that kind of attitude to get through.

I love your questions! How do you come up with these? I understand exactly how you felt when your dog slept on the pillow. Once, when I was pregnant with Eliza, I had to stay up all night with Lucy. Tom had some huge something or other and needed to be rested so he slept. The next morning he did not get up and help (he didn't realize how long the night had been). I actually got so mad at him that he came home early with my favorite beverage and cooked dinner.

I would LOVE to go to Spain! My hubby wants to live in Chile so bad. He spent two years there before we met. 🙂

Those nights are so difficult! I hope you've been able to rest a lot since but with a little one, that becomes a challenge doesn't it? Fun answers ~ I love Costa Rica…love the country, the people, the coffee, you name it! 🙂 I haven't been to Spain though so who knows?

Have a wonderful week…I hope with rest.

You poor thing, LBoy does not love his sleep!! You can get revenge later in life, when he is a teenager and wants his sleep and you can drag him out of bed haha!

Hopefully today was a better day and sleep is on your horizon!

I'm so sorry you had such a rough day/night. I can't even imagine. Do you know what was up?
While you were sleeping is one of my FAVORITE movies! Seriously. I watch it every christmas season. Don't know why but it always puts me in the christmas spirit. Can't get enough of it. I hope you've gotten some sleep!
