Meet Me on Monday

01/03/2011 by Kate P. 15 Comments

Today I am out of town to come celebrate with my friend, Kate, because she’s getting married today!!! So…my post is short and sweet. I’m joining up with Never Growing Old for a blogshare called “Meet me on Monday.” Answer five questions about yourself and then link up….
1.  Do you have any New Year’s resolutions?
Not really. I just wrote a few goals, like focusing more on the good things and not stressing about stupid things like money all the time. You can read the rest of them in my Ending the year 2010 post a few days ago.

2.  What food item are you craving right now?
Fried pickles (no I’m not pregnant) and mozzarella sticks with a side of ranch.

3.  When is your birthday?
December 19. I just celebrated my 27th birthday!

4.  What were you doing an hour ago?
An hour ago I was hanging out with my little brother. He has just now accused me of being boring because I’m playing on my computer.

5.  Last thing you cooked?
Chicken Fettucini Alfredo.

Happy belated birthday, and belated congrats to your hubby on his graduation! (I'm a bit behind in the blog world, huh?!) 🙂 And I hope you enjoy your friend's wedding. I just love all the emotion behind weddings…it is a great reminder to step back and appreciate my hubby for the many reasons I married him.

Happy New Year, Kate! Hope 2011 is filled with many blessings (and a good dose of "me" time, too!)!

It's my husband's favorite too! He loves it! When we were first married I made everything from scratch (minus the noodles) but these days it comes straight from a box!

My blog is down indefinitely due to stupid Cox. I am going to switch back to AT&T as soon as possible. Here are my answers to those questions:
    1) We moved into our new house on Dec. 18. On Dec. 20 Lucy started throwing up by Dec. 26 Tom had joined her. The apartment we where moving from had a horrible German Cockroach infestation. That meant we had to get rid of all of our boxes as quickly as possible. So my new home is a maze of junk. There are piles of stuff everywhere! My resolution is therefore to get organized and settled in the new year.
    2) Cinnamon Rolls! Traditionally I always make Cinnamon Rolls on Christmas but this year with everyone sick it didn't happen. I might just make them on Sunday which is the last day of the Christmas season.
    3) January 17. Can you believe I am almost 28?
    4) Laying in bed with a two-year-old asleep on one side of me and a 7-month-old playing on the other side of me.
    5) I actually haven't cooked in a while. Tom loves to cook and on Christmas break he wanted to do most of it. The last couple of days I have been on the verge of getting sick so I was more than happy to let him. I did make Kettle Corn and Caramel Chex Mix with popcorn.
I really badly wanted to go to Kate's wedding! But today is Tom's first day back at work. Tell me all the details about it please! Mama helped with her wedding dress. I understand it is a very old school kind of glamor. I hope I get to see pictures of it!

Hannah, all of that sounds pretty awful!

I hope you can get organized!

I would expect nothing less from Kate & old school glamor! I saw her parents last night as I was walking into 5:30 mass at the Cathedral & told them I couldn't wait for the wedding! They had just finished the rehearsal….

I will give you all the details & try to get some pictures to send to you as well if Lboy will let me (I know your mom will be taking plenty too!)

Tell stupid Cox to get your blog back, I miss it!

Oh I love fried dill pickles. They are so hard to find here. I should go google them and see if I could whip some up and already break a resolution of getting back to weight loss.

lol if you find a good recipe let me know! I would love to try it out! There's a place about 20 minutes from my house that makes the best friend pickles & I have been craving them for about 2 weeks now!
