Stick Figure Saturday-Geometric Shapes

07/24/2010 by Kate P. 16 Comments

Today is a good day!

I live too far from my family. I’m always whining about it on here too. (: You’re welcome for that.

Yesterday I was telling Todd that I wanted to come see everyone, especially my mom. I feel so so so isolated where we live because I am away from my “family unit.” But that is a post for another time. So anywho…I was saying I wanted see fam but was worried about spending the gas money & getting Lboy off his schedule.

Todd told me to forget worrying about money especially when it comes to seeing family & that Lboy would be just fine. So I packed my bags in about an hour & headed east to go see everyone. And Todd was right, everything worked out just great!

We have gone to see my grandparents, I have seen ALL my brothers & sisters, I’m going to get to see EVERYONE (aunts, uncles, cousins, & my grandparents again) at a party on Sunday.

Todd always comments on how much happier I am after I get back from seeing everyone. It’s like my battery on life has been recharged! Here I sit, so happy that I’m “home” with the fam!

Now if only I can talk my little sister into babysitting tonight so I can go to the movies! Ha! Fat chance–maybe I can bribe her somehow…

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you like what you see & will subscribe to my blog via Email and/or visit my Facebook page so you can see all the posts! Or look for me on Twitter so we can chat!

Lucky you that you can *drive* to your family. I have to swim across the Atlantic Ocean to get home! 😉 Enjoy your visit!

Moms and Dads, Grandpas and Grandmas, brothers and sisters, and everyone in between DEFINITELY recharge your battery for life!! So glad you took the drive. My feeling about schedules are they were meant to be tested and broken here and there!!

I hope you have a fabulous weekend, how far is the drive there?!?!

Nothing beats seeing family especially if you haven't seen each other in a while. I also find that bribery works the best when it comes to babysitting!!!

I would love to move my parents right next door to me. I think they do renew our "batteries" so to speak. Hopefully.

So glad you have the chance to hang out with your family this weekend 🙂 My parents are way down in FL (and we're way up in MA…) and I always feel energized after visiting with them 🙂
    Enjoy!

Glad you got to visit your family – you have an awesome husband who understands how important they are to you.

I'm blessed to live about 15 minutes away from my own family and that I get to see them every weekend. I do now know how I can manage not seeing them for long periods of time.

Found my way over from SITS 🙂 I live on the other side of the country from my family so I definitely feel you. I am getting ready for my own "return" trip very shortly. I like how you call it your battery on life! I feel the same way. It always picks up my mood!
