Let’s get Carried Away!

05/27/2010 by Kate P. 14 Comments

I figure everyone & their dog is going to have a post about the oh so wonderful NYC ladies making their second big screen debut today– but I’m all about jumping on a bandwagon or two, at least for these chicas…so….

Are you ready for the ultimate bestie movie?!!!

I’ve got the cocktails,

I’ve got the couture,
And yes, I even have Carrie.

What draws us to these women (besides their shoes, their clothes, & their fabulous handbags?!)

Charlotte: She’s the stay-at-home mom that would do anything to be with her man & to have a family. She’s that Sally-Home Maker that is in all of us (even if it’s just a sliver–need I show you pictures of my messy house again?!)

Miranda: The tough, logical, unemotional, I am woman hear me roar type. She doesn’t take crap from anybody, she’s works hard at her job & she comes home to be mom & wife. She’s that hardcore feminist, I can do anything that is in all of us. She’s Rosie the Riveter.

Samantha: Oh Samantha! I think we all have a little bit of Sam in us. Am I saying we’ve all run around & slept with the majority of the men in NYC-No!! I’m saying that she embraces her sexuality, she’s not afraid of it, she knows desire is normal & healthy, & she has fun in the process (you don’t have to have Sam’s bed numbers to be in charge of who you are sexually.)

Carrie: She’s the glue that holds them all together. Even though Carrie isn’t a mother, she’s still that one link that creates the togetherness of the group. I think that’s a role mothers play in their family’s lives everyday.

Unfortunately, I don’t get to see it until next week (no spoilers please!)– But I’m still pumped for tomorrow! I got my heels picked out, my frilly girly drinks hidden in my purse, & I’ll be with one of my favorite gals ever! I seriously can’t wait!

And, as a little PS, I’ll throw this in there too: I was always team Aidan. I never wanted Carrie to end up with Big. **Gasp** Stop throwing things at me!!

I know, I know, it’s almost like saying I didn’t want Ross & Rachel together. Or that I didn’t have hopes for Romeo & Juliet to pull it off– sorry :/ I vowed to never watch Friends again if Ross & Rachel didn’t get together & I still get so friggin’ angry at R & J for not getting their sh!t together– but Big & Carrie. Nope. No way.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you like what you see & will subscribe to my blog via Email and/or visit my Facebook page so you can see all the posts! Or look for me on Twitter so we can chat!

I agree with you I always like Aiden. He is better for her. And I too vowed never to watch Friends again if Ross and Rachel didn't get back together. Man I wish they would make a Friends movie. Le sigh!

I have always have a thing for Big there's just something about him but heck yeah Aidan was HOT! I have no idea when will they play here (will consult Mr. Google in a few) hahaha. It would so much fun to go to the premiere with a bunch of girlfriends and then went out partying after that…*I can only dream*

I am going to see it tonight! I am sooo excited!

I think it will be interesting to see how Aidan plays into the story. I am going to go out on a limb and say I DON'T think Carrie will leave Big for Aidan though. I think they are just trying mess with our minds by bringing him back!! We shall see!!

Lois: A Friends movie would be amazing!!!

Betty: I hope it's fun–sometimes I think I'm only going to see it for all the "glitter!" lol

Maureen: I'm going with one of my cousins who lives in town–okay here's the deal! You have your passport now, come with us! You know, fly half way around the world just to see a movie! haha

Ashley: I don't think she will either! She better not! As much as I wanted her to end up with A, I don't want her to cheat! She's made her choice, now she needs to stick with it!

Lorie: haha I know! It looks like something that would happen in my house!

Never seen the show, but from what I've heard about Big he sounds like a total A-hole.

Does that make me team Aidan?

    Ross & Rachel!!! Love them
