I spend a lot of time trying to come up with activities on the weekends during our “family free time.” It’s important to me that Todd, Lboy & I make time to do a family outing. They don’t have to be these HUGE, expensive trips, just something small.
BUT, let’s get real, once the weekend is here, work for the week is over, you’re staring at the piles of laundry, dishes, & yard work that needs to be done & it just makes you feel exhausted thinking about leaving the house, let alone figuring out something to do.
It feels so overwhelming to have to think about loading the kid, making sure you have a sippy cup, toys, purse, barricading the dog from making a break for it out the door, talking the spouse into doing something, trying to find your own  motivation to get going…..on & on & on…..
So…. my challenge this month is to find more great ways to implement active & inexpensive family activities on a regular basis on the weekends. (In fact, I’ve already solved it, but you’ll have to wait until next month to read all about it. ;))
What are your challenges in making time for out of the house activities with your family?
