Remember me writing about my Waterford Vase Crashing?
This weekend I discovered a whole other slew of things that have gone “crash” at the hands of my little one:
1. I caught Lboy attempting to give my clinique makeup brush collection swirlies in the toilet. I bought these brushes pre-baby, before $30 co-pays, diapers that are as much as my mortgage & before Gerber snack foods that cost an arm & a leg. Thank you Lord that I was able to save them from that nasty fate. There’s no way I would have been able to replace them. And no amount of cleaning would have ever gotten them back on my face!
2. Not only did he try to give some brushes a swirly but I can’t find one of my eye brushes. I think this one managed to escape the toilet fiasco, but he has been hiding in fear ever since that day. Who knows where he could be?! And I honestly don’t blame him, I’d be hiding too.
3. Todd & I have an extensive DVD/Blu-Ray collection. We love movies. We have them organized alphabetically, by genre. Well, we did until yesterday. You see, with my computer on the fritz I have been using the computer in the guest bedroom. And in the guest bedroom used to hide the proof that Todd & I are indeed anal retentive about our dvds. But now they look like this:
And you know what?!
I don’t care that my brushes almost made it in the toilet, I don’t care that one is missing, and I don’t care that the dvds are now out of order….those brief minutes that he was happy while making the messes he made was 100% totally worth it!

i guess it's good that you caught the attempted swirling??? cuz if you hadn't, and he had done it, and the brush dried out…that would be rather gross. 🙂

I find myself the same way! Things I would have in years past been so upset about don't bother me quite as much now as long as they afford me a few minutes of silence 🙂

If you want help re-alphabetizing the DVDs, let me know. I love that stuff 🙂

Good for you for letting it go!! I'm learning to do the same thing! It's hard though to let go of being in total control!
Just remember that when it's real quite it usually means they are doing something they aren't supposed to!

I sort of so agree. haha No really, I'm always happy when the kids find things to keep them occupied, but MAN sometimes the messes.

I have that same feeling when my daughter is entertained but I know there's going to be a mess. You really want to stop the mess, but that uninterrupted time is so nice.
It's okay I guess unless you hear the water running!

Ohmygoodness! I can totally relate with a kiddo that messes with my stuff! His latest escapade with my BRAND NEW (sob) Bare Essentials makeup made it to the blog. And those brushes were a goner… I nearly cried throwing them away.
Good thing those cute munchkins are worth it, right? 🙂
