I’m not here today!

08/10/2010 by Kate P. 19 Comments

Whoops! I totally forgot to tell you all that I wrote a guest post on the 7th at Debbi’s from This Lovely Life!

So….go read about how Lboy runs a very tight tight tight ship! I’m pretty sure most of you can totally relate!

I have taken a few days off of blogging. Yesterday, I totally didn’t enter the internet world at all. It was a nice break. I’ve been feeling bogged down by it all–it’s becoming a chore & I’m trying to keep it fun. When it feels like it’s too much I just take a break (I have to post this, I have to link this, I have to check out twitter, I have to check my email or people will quit coming to visit or other crazy overwhelming thoughts.)

I am reading comments though & do plan on getting back to everyone! But right now I’m just reading a book & more importantly hanging out with my two & half men (the half being the puppy!) Lboy is cutting FIVE, yes 5 teeth, and I just think he needs more attention than my blog does– but I hope to be back in full swing soon!

Go check out my post at Debbi’s for a good laugh and I hope you have a great Tuesday!!!

Do any of you get overwhelmed with blogging? What do you do when that happens?!

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you like what you see & will subscribe to my blog via Email and/or visit my Facebook page so you can see all the posts! Or look for me on Twitter so we can chat!

Thank you so much for coming back to visit! If you've never left a comment, leave me one! I'd love to chat! Be sure to subscribe to the via Email and check out the Facebook page or find me on Twitter so we can keep chatting!

Enjoy the break. It's nice to not be near a computer for a few days. Resets the head and heart.

A day or two of a break always cures what ails you! Enjoy.

That's awesome. Unplugging is so refreshing and necessary. 🙂

I definitely get overwhelmed with blogging! Sometimes it starts to feel like an obligation which is not fun. I then try and take a break and relax… and change my attitude towards it – and only blogging when I want to. Good luck!

A break will definitely recharge you. I get that way too overwhelmed and unplugging does good for our souls 😀

I start feeling soooo overwhelmed sometimes! A break usually does it for me! I hope LBoys mouth is hurting too much.

I blog because I have tons of downtime at work, so it keeps me from going insane haha

What most bloggers do is to take breaks on weekends. If you don't post on weekends, I promise it won't affect your page visits because most bloggers don't read blogs on weekends anyway!! Saturday and Sunday are usually low number days for me, and I don't even touch a computer, but everything goes back to normal every Monday.

I also went on vacation for an entire week recently. Obviously my numbers went down while I was gone, but the day I put up my first after-vacation post, I was back to 100%. Readers don't go away after just a few days, so don't feel pressured!

I have been feeling the same way. I haven't blogged as much this week as I normally do.

I do sometimes get overwhelmed with blogging and like you, I just take a break. It seems like we need a break from it once in a while to avoid getting burnt out. Enjoy your time with your boy!

OMG, 5 teeth at the same time???? Poor kid!! AND poor mama!!!!

I hear you on the pressure we put upon ourselves to write / blog. I actually addressed in my blog yesterday. No need to apologize as in the end (most of us) blog for us and not necessarily for the outside world as the #1. You have no reason to need to apologize. Just take a break and return when you feel refreshed and ready to go again.

I don't think I've taken a full day off in the whole year I've been doing this. I do take mental breaks from it though, not posting or not commenting for a day or two. Hope you have a refreshing breather!

I can't imagine blogging every day. I'm lucky if I get to it once a week, but my blog is about quilting, and I'm lucky if I get to do that once a week too. I don't read every day either, so I don't mind bloggers taking days off. It's easier for me to catch up!
